Pramuka Island Improved Ahead of Eid

Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri, the Pramuka Island area, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands District, Seribu Islands is being arranged to be tidier, cleaner, and more comfortable for residents and visiting tourists.

Head of Technical Work Unit (UKT) 2 of the Seribu Islands, Denny Harnoko, said that the arrangement of this area is carried out as an effort to improve environmental quality while welcoming the increased community activity during the Eid holiday.

Arrangement on Jalan Pakubuwono Reaches 85 Percent

"This arrangement aims to create an orderly, beautiful area and provide comfort for the community and tourists who come to Pramuka Island," he said, Monday (3/9).

He explained that the improvements include repairing roads and water channels, painting curbs, painting plaza areas, improving gardens, planting trees, and processing waste.

"Work has been underway since last week and is now nearly 90 percent complete. We aim to have all the work completed before Eid," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of Panggang Island Urban Village, Jamaludin said his side also assists the development by deploying 10 PPSU personnel every day.

"We also want the environment of Pramuka Island to be more organized and ready to welcome tourist visits during the Eid al-Fitr holiday," he said.
